We are a cuddle family. I am absolutely addicted to cuddles and kisses, and so is Papa. Hugs are the most common physical interaction in our household. Lately, something amazing happened: Bubsi wants to hug and kiss, too. And let me tell you something, it is wonderful!

Papa-Mama-Kisses

Bubsi has started this new activity in our house called “Papa-Mama-Kisses”. She extends her arms towards one of us to be picked up. Then she calls for the other person, repeatedly if necessary. When the other person comes, she hugs both of us close and brings our heads together to kiss. Exciting! It is so very cute when your toddler comes to cuddle. And now that she is actively asking for her cuddles and kisses, and even joins in on the action, it is pure bliss. Well, forgetting the fact that we now have to do it constantly. Whenever Papa is home and Bubsi is awake, it is hug-and-kiss time. Again, and again. But yes, it is still lovely. I hope she will keep this phase for a while, because it really improves our lives and even the relationship between Papa and myself.

Bubsi is saving our relationship

What did I just say? Kissing with Bubsi saves Papa and me? Yes, indeed. Because lately (or before the kissing phase started), we were very busy. Too busy to remember it is important to work on our relationship too. There was the wedding. And the family. And friends, and work. We made ourselves come last, and the relationship was on put a back burner. But Bubsi is now making us take the time to slow down. She makes us stop, touch, and cuddle. It has started a virtuous cycle, because the more cuddles and kisses I get, the better my mood. Same with my husband. We just forgot in the busy-ness of life. Why bicker about the stress when you can cuddle in comfort? Thank you, Bubsi, for bringing us all together again!
