Next week we move. Well, not quite, but at least all the content of our current home will move. We will just fly over to Germany, make sure the boxed goods are unpacked in our new flat, and return to London.
14 days for packing boxes
Not even two weeks ago we returned from our summer vacation with wedding in Romania. (I promise I will still write about the celebration, just waiting for good pictures!). Upon our return we had to decide whether to stay in London or move away. And find a new home.
After careful consideration, we realized that moving to Germany would be the best decision to take. Papa’s company has a big remote working culture, so there would be no issue with our move. Being closer to my parents and substantial possible savings settled the deal.
We were lucky and found a suitable flat last week. It was confirmed on Friday that the landlord would like us to move in. And now we are packing. Quickly, every day, because next week the movers come.
Deciding what to leave
The thing is, when the movers have come and gone, we still need things. A whole bunch in fact. When we return to London next week, we will still be here for six days. Afterwards, we fly to Iceland. Where the weather is even colder. And for all these days we need enough supplies: clothes, games, diapers…. Everything to keep a toddler happy and clean, in two suitcases. Wish us luck!
